This page explains what information the Stanton College Preparatory Foundation collects through stantonfoundation.org, why we collect it, and what we do with it. In short: we collect as little as we can, we never sell or trade it, and the website sets no cookies of its own.

Who we are

The website is run by Friends of Stanton College Preparatory School, Inc., which does business as the Stanton College Preparatory Foundation. We are a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville, Florida. We are a separate organization from Duval County Public Schools.

When you visit the website

We count visits with PostHog, an analytics service. We set it up to store nothing on your device: no cookies and no local storage. It records which pages are viewed, which site sent you here, any campaign tags in the link you followed (such as utm_source), and clicks on Donate buttons. Because nothing is stored on your device, we cannot tell one visit of yours from the next.

Cloudflare hosts the website. It also counts page views without cookies, and it keeps short-lived request logs for security and troubleshooting.

Every request your browser makes includes your IP address and browser details. We use them for visit counts and to keep the site running, and nothing else. We do not try to identify individual visitors.

Services the pages load

Parts of some pages come from other companies, and your browser contacts them directly:

  • Google Fonts supplies the typefaces.
  • Facebook supplies the video on the homepage. If you are signed in to Facebook, Facebook may know you viewed it.
  • Zeffy supplies the donation form.

Each company handles those requests under its own privacy policy.

Donations

Online gifts go through Zeffy, a donation platform for nonprofits. You enter your payment details on Zeffy's form, and Zeffy's privacy policy covers them. We never see your card or bank details. Zeffy shares your name, email address, gift amount and any note you write with us, so that we can thank you and keep accurate records.

We record gifts made by check, stock transfer or employer match ourselves.

The campaign total on the homepage is a sum of all gifts. It never shows who gave or how much.

Our mailing list

If you join our mailing list, we keep your email address, the date you signed up and the page you signed up from. The list is stored in PostHog.

Your first email from us asks you to confirm. If you do not confirm, we send nothing else. Every email after that has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address altogether.

On your device

The website sets no cookies of its own. It saves one number in your browser: the campaign total you last saw, so the homepage knows when to play its celebration animation. That number never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.

What we do not do

We do not sell, rent or trade the personal information of donors, subscribers or visitors. We do not show advertising on the website or use advertising trackers. We share information with the services named on this page, for running the website and the foundation, and otherwise only when the law requires it.

Photos

Photos on the website show Stanton students, alumni, faculty and events. If you are in a photo and would like it removed, contact us and we will take it down.

Children

The website is meant for adults: parents, alumni, faculty and supporters. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has joined our mailing list, contact us and we will delete the address.
